March 30th, 2017: PhD Day
EPP Symposium

During this special PhD Day, which precedes the annual EPP Day for PhD students and staff, PhD candidates can present and receive feedback on their work. Moreover, an interactive workshop on how to deal with the media is organized for all attending PhD candidates.

All PhD candidates are welcome to attend. The PhD Day provides an excellent opportunity for a meeting of EPP PhD candidates that is both professional and casual. It is designed to foster discussion. The presentations are integrated into interactive symposia, in which there is more time than usual for discussing results and possible implications of the presented work.

There is a life after you obtain your PhD. Really? Yes, there is! No matter whether you want to continue your career inside or outside academia, thinking about the next step should start now, to prepare yourself in the best way for this next step.

In the workshop we will briefly address career options as a PhD, followed by discussing important requirements to make your desired next step(s). We take a better look at who you are, what career you would like to pursue, and what talents you have available to achieve your goals. Through small assignments and group discussions, you as participants will have a better idea about how to master your own destiny.
