Public & Patient engagement and workshop by André Tomlin (Mental Elf) 9 & 10 november 2023
EPP Symposium 151

Valorization of our research is an important task as scientists. Ideally, many of us would like to realize “real-world” changes, such as influencing people’s ideas, helping patients, or shaping policies. However, it can be challenging to reach diverse audiences and to translate abstract scientific ideas to messages for a wider audience. In this EPP symposium, the speakers will give presentations about reaching diverse audiences with different media channels, such as through books, newspaper articles, and social media. Also, one of the talks will focus on how we can include stakeholders and patients into our research ideas. We hope that this symposium will be inspiring to increase the impact and valorization of EPP research.

Please note, there is a maximum number of participants for this symposium of 40. Acceptance will be in order of receipt of applications (with priority to PhD studens). If the number of applications exceeds 40, you will be added to the waiting list and be notified about this.
