PhD students who finished their PhD thesis, who have attended at least 8 symposia/workshops (8 ECTS), and have given at least one presentation in English about their own research at an EPP-meeting, will receive a certificate from the school.

For attending a two-day symposium you obtain 1 ECTS, and for a one-day symposium 1/2 ECTS. As of 2016, you are allowed to obtain a maximum of 1 credit from an external course. 7 ECTS have to be obtained by taking part in EPP symposia. The chairman of the educational committee decides whether the external course meets the criteria for counting towards the 8 ECTS. To have your external course considered you should send a participation certificate and program to the EPP secretary.
